Life was my first major piece although it was the last to be finished. Life was started in Spring 2003 but was not finished until early 2005.

The name Life comes from the many major life events that occurred during the 2 year time it took to finish, including the death of a dog I’d had for most of my childhood, ending a 4 year relationship and moving to California. These events affected my mood as I worked on this picture and those emotions are forever imprinted in the work.
